Working with creative agency VML, Irresistible have created a new teaser film for Bugatti, designed to spark interest in their next supercar, the Bugatti Chiron. The film has already attracted over 300,000 views on the Bugatti Youtube channel, already making it their fourth most-viewed video of all time.
Directed by Irresistible automotive-specialist Adrian Larkin and produced by Harry Burnett Rae, the film shows a single shot from a high-speed tracking vehicle that takes the viewer from day to night and through sun, wind and rain, alluding to Bugatti’s strong ties to heritage with the 24 Hours of LeMans.
We caught up with the producer Harry Burnett Rae for some insight into the production:
“The film was shot at the Millbrook Proving Ground, Bedfordshire. The single effect shot in the film was created using a high-speed tracking vehicle with a specially gyro-stabilised head mounted on a scorpion arm and captured in raw with the Arri Alexa Plus XT. In the offline process, VFX was used to add the transition between day and nighttime, atmospheric effects and weather conditions. We worked closely with composer Michael Palmer and Bugatti to craft a bespoke score with a high cinematic style.”
Bugatti has described the film as their most important of the last decade, laying a solid basis for an exciting new beginning in Spring 2016.
