We’re ending the year on a high at Irresistible headquarters after winning the Silver Mikeldi Award for our short film Mike. And, it doesn’t stop there. Our friends at Havas EHS won two Silvers at the Digital Marketing Awards (DMA) for Simple’s ‘Skin Social,’ a campaign that Irresistible created film content for.
Mike, which already won the prestigious Crystal Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival at the beginning of the year, won the Best Short Film award at Zinebi Bilbao International Short Film Festival. It’s one of the most prestigious short film festivals in Europe as its an Oscar-qualifying festival.
Simple’s ‘Skin Social’ campaign was launched to help teens with skincare advice and was headed up by Zoella – YouTube’s sensation vlogger. Irresistible was brought in to film a series of films starring Zoella talking about Simple Skincare. The campaign was a huge success and the films gained over 5.6 million views on YouTube.
Executive Producer Matt Nelson says; “We’re over the moon to win the Silver Mikeldi Award. It’s been a great year for Mike but it doesn’t stop there as next year looks like another winning year for the short film.”
Creative Director Paul Maynard says: “Thanks to the guys over at Havas EHS for bringing us on board to help film and produce the Zoella films. It was a great project to work on. We’re looking forward to working on more award-winning campaigns in 2015.”
